...abject along the edges we look for signs of ourselves and others cast aside by the present. the periphery spreads and sharpens with plastic teeth and corpses, red sand turned to glass cut to the bone keep digging past where the county ends. don’t stop. pain banished to a desolate dry place lives on and dances after dark. THERE IS HERE. shifting, patternless winds tear through everything. dystopic visions are not mirages. this desert is invisible but the desert exposes all; inscribed with how we live, die, consume, discard, and kill…to dysplace or be dysplaced, to dyspose or be dysposed of is a question of power, is no spelling error, is a mistake to believe anything disappears. broken burnt and defiant, we remain, in one form or formless, changing to survive it. but how will this land survive us?
